Kalender tient avec sa fille Filiz un petit restaurant de pitas hérité de son père. La mort de sa femme, dix ans auparavant, a rendu Kalender taciturne. Fermé à la modernité et peu enclin à prendre des risques, il peine à faire tourner son restaurant. Un restaurant de pitas d'un nouveau genre, Pitaburger, ne fait qu'aggraver la situation. Mais tout change lorsqu'Öcü fait irruption dans leur vie. Dès lors, ils se lancent dans de nombreuses aventures afin de sauver le restaurant.
